May 15, 2016 Superior, WI Organized a Gathering and Rally
Organized and hosted by Twin Ports Save The Kids community organization led by Kym Young in honor of Kym’s grandson Antwan who passed away a couple months ago. Beautiful gathering of committed community members who want a better society and a more equitable right-here-and-now and into the future for all of our youth through the education system, family upbringing, employment, health care and more.
During the kids activities before the march, Ryan asked two of the boys who were painting together… “Do you know what Black Lives Matters means?” And the one caucasian boy stated without hesitation, “That we don’t want any more black boys to die.” Powerful moment there. Then Ryan went on to talk to them more about the movement.
