Help Open Possibilities (HOP) is a re-intergrating youth detention workshop for those being released. HOP is ten tasks that begin inside, but end outside.

They include:

  1. Pledge to stay away from drugs, violence, and alcohol
  2. Take a college tour
  3. Get into school or get a job
  4. Get a library card
  5. Job readiness skills (resume, e-mail, interviewing, and scheduling)
  6. Personal hygiene and home management
  7. Get involved in after school programs
  8. Know Your Rights with police and SROs
  9. Develop conflict transformation and communication skills
  10. Keep in touch with Save the Kids
