Too often society is focused on reactionary efforts and not enough on preventative efforts that end prisons and punishment. While Save the Kids is committed to aiding youth from a life of violence and incarceration to one of peace and healthy success, we do understand and challenge racial, economic, gender, socio-political stigmatization, which marginalize and put youth at risk of incarcerated. The following are a number of useful videos on School to Prison Pipeline, which addresses that education is a must for success, but is taken away and replaced with a room with a window with bars for certain youth.
