**The Board of Directors of Save the Kids (STK) meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6PM in a General Meeting with staff, volunteers, interns, advisors, etc. A member of the Board of Directors can miss a maximum of three meetings a year. The Board of Directors of STK are voted in and oversee all activities and guide the direction of the organization. Each member of the board is a director of a STK program or project.

Save the Kids was formerly Outdoor Empowerment. Outdoor Empowerment was founded in 2005, while Save the Kids was established in the Summer 2009.
